Adds points along a cutline
Adds in points along a cutline. The input coordinates for the cutline are either stored in an image based information system (IBIS) graphics file or entered by the user. The output coordinates are stored in an IBIS graphics file.
- INFILE
- Input file. The IBIS graphics file containing the coordinates for the input cutline or polygon. The coordinates must be stored in the graphics file in line, sample (or Y,X) order. The polygon must be closed.
- OUTFILE
- Output file. The output IBIS graphics file containing the new coordinates for the cutline.
- PNTINC(100)
- Point increment. Indicates how far apart the points to be added should be placed.
- LSCOORS
- Line/sample coordinates. The coordinates that the user enters to define the input cutline or polygon. The coordinates must be listed in line, sample (or Y,X) order. The polygon must be closed. Currently, the user may enter up to 50 points.
- OUTFILE
- Output file. The output IBIS graphics file containing the new coordinates for the cutline.
- PNTINC(100)
- Point increment. Indicates how far apart the points to be added should be placed.
Coordinates for the cutline stored in the input IBIS graphics file CUT are read in and points to be added in are generated using a point increment of 100. The new coordinates for the cutline are stored in the output IBIS graphics file NEWCUT.
The input coordinates are retrieved as specified by the user and points to be added in are generated using a point increment of 10. The new coordinates are output to the IBIS graphics file NEWCUT.
The program begins with the standard initialization and retrieval of user-specified parameters. The points of the input polygon are read in from either the IBIS graphics file or the LSCOORS parameter. Points are generated according to the specified step size (PNTINC) to be added in to the cutline. The resulting points are written to the output IBIS graphics file.
An error was encountered closing the <XXXXX> file. The data may be valid.
A fatal error was encountered during processing. The output IBIS graphics file may or may not be valid. The message that is displayed immediately preceding this message is the specific error that was encountered.
An error was encountered while trying to open the specified file.
As a result of the input polygon data and the given point increment, over 5400 pairs would be generated for the output polygon. Increase the point increment so that less points are generated.
An error was encountered while trying to read from the input IBIS graphics file.
An error was encountered while trying to write to the output IBIS graphics file.
