Description/Algorithm:

DITTOLBL can be run any time after an output tape device has been allocated (and before it is deallocated) to create a standard library archive tape label. The tape ID, tape density, system, and drive names are retrieved from the appropriate DITTO globals. These values are then used with the user entered parameters to run TAPE_LABEL to print the label.

Nonfatal Error Messages:

    None.

Fatal Error Messages:

  1. [dittolbl-nottape] Output device is not a tape

The output device is not a tape. Tape labels can only be created for magnetic tapes.

  2. [dittolbl-alloc] Output device is not allocated
