BWTRANS

Continually transfer browse image files across the network.

Function:

Transfers all browse images in the ADAPSBRW directory across the network to the Global Land Information System.

Description/Algorithm:

BWTRANS continually searches the ADAPSBRW directory for browse images to transfer across the network. If there are no images to transfer, it waits 10 minutes and searches again. All browse images successfully transferred will be noted in BWTRANS;LOG in the ADAPSLOG directory. If an error occurs during a transfer, BWTRANS will retry the transfer two more times. If, after three attempts, errors still occur, the browse image is moved to the ADAPSERR directory and a message will be logged in the BWTRANS;LOG file. ADAPSBRW may be terminated by executing the ADAPSTOP function.

Nonfatal Error Messages:

    None.

Fatal Error Messages:

  1. [bwtrans-fatal] Fatal error encountered

A fatal error was encountered. The error message displayed prior to this one is the specific error that was encountered. Processing terminates.

User Notes:

  1. Browse images originating from stitched orbits (AO*;BRW) will be ignored by BWTRANS. .END
