LISTEDIT

Edit or get information about a list containing images to load

Function:

Edit a list of images to show if the images have been loaded, not loaded, or excluded. Get information about the list such as the scene ID's, tape ID's, or time stamps.

Parameters:

Subcommand -UPDATE:
Update image load status listing with a status flag.

INFILE
Input file. The file containing the list of images to reprocess. (see user note 1.)

SCENEID
Scene identifier. The scene identifier of interest.

TSTAMP
Time stamp. The time stamp of interest.

PFLAG
Processing flag. The status of the scene:

  = "Y":        Image has been loaded
  = "N":        Image not loaded
  = "X":	eXclude image
Subcommand -FETCH:
Read image load status listing to extract scene ID information for a given tape ID or scene ID.

INFILE
Input file. The file containing the list of images to reprocess. (see user note 1.)

SCENEID(--)
Scene identifier. The scene identifier of interest.

TAPEID
Tape ID. The tape ID of interest.

XSCENEID
Return scene identifier. Scenes residing on tape TAPEID which have yet to be processed.

XTSTAMP
Return time stamp. Time stamps coinciding with the scenes specified in XSCENEID.

NSCENES
Number of scenes
Subcommand -TAPIDS:
Read the load status listing and return a list of tape ID's in the list.

INFILE
Input file. The file containing the list of images to reprocess. (see user note 1.)

XTAPEID
Return tape ID's. A listing of all tape ID's in INFILE.

NTAPES
Number of tapes

Examples:

  1. LAS> listedit-update infile="stitch;list" sceneid="ah140696192345" tstamp="114536" pflag=y

    The flag on the lines containing scene ah140696192345_114536 in the file "stitch;list" is changed to 'Y'.

  2. LAS> listedit-fetch infile="stitch;list" tapeid="123456" xsceneid=sceneids xtstamp=tstamps nscenes=nscenes

    A list of scene ID's and time stamps are returned in variables sceneids and tstamps that are contained on tape number 123456. The number of scenes returned is returned in variable nscenes.

  3. LAS> listedit-fetch infile="stitch;list" sceneid="ah140696192345" xsceneid=sceneids xtstamp=tstamps nscenes=nscenes

    The time stamp for scene ah140696192345 is returned in tstamps. The scene ID and number of scenes are returned in sceneids and nscenes respectively.

  4. LAS> listedit-tapids infile="stitch;list" xtapeid=tapeids ntapes=ntapeids

    A list of tape ID's is returned in the variable tapeids and the number of tapeids in ntapeids.

    Nonfatal Error Messages:

    1. [listedit-warn] Nonfatal error encountered

      A non-fatal error occurred. The message displayed preceding this message is the error that was encountered. Processing continues.

    2. [listedit-clos] Error closing input file

      Check with system administrator if problem persists.

    Fatal Error Messages:

    1. [listedit-fatal] Fatal error encountered.

      A fatal error occurred. The message displayed preceding this message is the error that was encountered. Processing terminates.

    2. [listedit-rparm] Error returning parameter to TAE

      An error was encountered while updating the TAE parameter block. Check with the system administrator.

    3. [listedit-open] Error opening input file

      The input file could not be opened. Check that the path and file name are correct and the input file exists. Re-run the process. Check with system administrator if problem persists.

    4. [listedit-read] Error reading line in input file

      A line could not be read from the input file. Make sure the file contains valid data. Check with system administrator if problem persists.

    5. [listedit-seek] Error seeking in the file

      An error occurred seeking to the proper position on a line while updating the process flag. Check with system administrator.

    6. [listedit-writ] Error writing to the file

      An error occurred while attempting to update a line in the input file. Check with system administrator.

    7. [listedit-not] "Scene ID: <XXXXXX>, Time stamp: <YYYYYY> not located

      The scene ID time stamp pair could not be found in the input file. Make sure the input file is in the proper format and that the scene ID and time stamp exist. Re-run the process.

    User Notes:

    1. The load status listing is one scene per line with storage location (tape ID), scene ID, time stamp and load flag. The order is significant. An optional header may be included. If the header is present it must start with the word tape_id in column 1. Leading zeros for tape ID's and time stamps are not required.

      Example:
