Create a composite of 24 MicroFiche images and print it on the ColorFire
Processes twenty-four MicroFiche images into a large image (7400 lines * 11250 samples) to be plotted on the ColorFire recorder. The input images must be scaled to 2400 lines by 1024 samples or smaller. No error checking is done to ensure this size. Images larger than 2400 * 1024 will overlap other images.
Multiple MICRO processes on the same IMGTYPE are not allowed. This is done so that no conflicts occur when selecting which images to process. The file containing the current microfiche sequence number is renamed while MICRO is running, so that it cannot be found by another process. Each MICRO process begins by looking for this file, and continues only if it is found.
- IMGTYPE(AMER)
- Type of image. The type of images to process. There must be at least 24 images of this type on disk for the program to run.
= AMER: North America HRPT images. = WORLD: World-wide HRPT and LAC images.
Twenty-four HRPT images acquired by NGC, NOA, and/or SFL are selected from the ADAPSMIC directory and combined into a single microfiche image which is then printed on ColorFire film. All of the input images are deleted from the ADAPSMIC directory.
Twenty-four images are selected from the ADAPSMIC directory and combined into a single microfiche image which is then printed on ColorFire film. The input images may be either HRPT or LAC; however, no HRPT images acquired by NGC, NOA, and SFL will be processed. All of the input images are deleted from the ADAPSMIC directory.
The ADAPSMIC directory is checked to ensure that there are twenty-four images of the appropriate type on disk, then annotation and border images are created.Twelve images are read from disk and concatenated into an image containing 5250 lines and 7400 samples. Annotation containing the MicroFiche numbers is added to the image, and the image is rotated so two will fit on one ColorFire frame. A database update file is created for each image. Twelve more images are processed in the same manner. The two 7400 line * 5250 sample images are concatenated, a tape and label are created containing the output image, and an entry is generated in the ColorFire Custom Request File. Each twelve-scene image has the following format:
lines 1 - 50 white buffer (7400 samples) 51 - 350 annotation block (7400 samples) 351 - 2750 samples 1 - 544 white buffer 545 - 568 black filler (24 samples) 569 - 1592 image 1 (1024 sample maximum) . . . . 5809 - 6832 image 6 6833 - 6856 black filler (24 samples) 6857 - 7400 white buffer 2751 - 2830 black filler (80 lines, 7400 samples) 2831 - 5230 same format as lines 351 - 2750 (for images 7 - 12) 5231 - 5250 white buffer (20 lines, 7400 samples)
The micro program is already being run for <xxxxx> images. Wait for the program to finish and run it again.
