DITTO command ---- Deallocate DITTO device(s)
Deallocates a DITTO input/output device. If the device is "tape," the tape is dismounted and unloaded.
- DEVTYPE
- Device type. Specifies which input/output device is to be deallocated. Valid values are:
= INPUT: Input device = OUTPUT: Output device = BOTH: Input and output devices
The user has requested to deallocate the input device. If the input device is a tape, it is dismounted.
The user has requested to deallocate both the input and output devices. If either device is a tape, it is dismounted.
From the parameter DEVTYPE, it is determined which device(s) are to be deallocated. If the device to be deallocated is a tape, the tape is dismounted. The global variables are updated to indicate that the device is not allocated.
