Create a standard annotation text for facsimile prints
Two annotation strings are generated for facsimile prints to identify the scene. The annotation contains satellite and image information, such as the acquisition date, acquisition time, equitorial crossing, orbit number, corner coordinates, pass duration, bands, etc.
- IN
- Input image. The information for the annotation strings comes from the AVHRR Data Descriptor Record (ADDR) associated with the specified LAS image.
- TSTAMP
- Time stamp. The time (HHMMSS) the browse file was created. This time is used to identify and match the browse, facsimile, microfiche, and database information.
- LUTNUM
- LUT number. The look-up table number used to map the facsimile image data.
- ANNOT1
- Annotation line one. The first line of annotation to be placed on the top of the facsimile. The first line of annotation will be returned in the TAE variable specified in this parameter. Annotation line two. The second line of annotation to be placed on the top of the facsimile. The second line of annotation will be returned in the TAE variable specified in this parameter.
The AVHRR Data Descriptor Record (ADDR) information from the LAS image US92 will be used to retrieve scene identification and location information. Two annotation lines are generated from this information and returned in the TAE variables ANN1 and ANN2. The specified time stamp (time the browse file was created, HHMMSS) and the look-up table number used to map the image data (returned by SETLUT) are also included in the annotation strings. The following is an example of the generated annotation lines:
ID:AL11080191130734 Date:08/01/91 EqCr: 45D56M Orbit:14686 LAC Asc Day Bnd:2 102155
UpLft: 0D22M54S 6D15M18S LoRgt:-21D19M06S 40D48M36S Dur:8 Bnds:12345 LUT:6 1 of 1
The ADDR information from the specified LAS image is retrieved and the annotation strings are built from it. The specified time stamp and look-up table number (see user notes) are also included in the annotation strings. The two annotation strings are returned in the TAE variable specified in ANNOT. The two lines of annotation are placed at the top of facsimiles for identification and locational purposes.
A fatal error was encountered during processing. The error message displayed immediately preceding this message is the specific error encountered.
The specified time stamp was either not six characters (HHMMSS) or invalid. Respecify the time stamp and rerun.
