Description |
1a |
1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4,
4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, 2.1 |
Schedule a NOAA-12 acquisition, followed by a NOAA-16 acquisition (these
are downloaded at different frequencies). Ensure that the frame synchronizer
is set to the appropriate data type. Also ensure that the raw acquisition
from the 'old' system and the 'new' system are the same except for the
header (for both images). If the data is correctly downloaded, the
receiver has successfully switched frequencies, the frame synchronizer
is set to the proper data type, and the data was received from the mulitcast
port. |

3.1, 4.5 |
After test 1a has successfully completed, ensure that the acquisition
image has been successfully transferred to the ADAPSACQ directory on the
ADAPS production system. This test will be run concurrently
with the legacy acquisition system and the output images compared.
The image contains the 512-byte header with minimum required data, all
other contents will be the same as the reference image. |
1c |
3.2, 4.1 |
During test 1a, the image is displayed in a north-up manner.
To complete this test, both an ascending and descending scene must be successfully
displayed. Verify that the 'next' scene is correctly displayed on
the monitor following the acquisition. |
1d |
3.3, 3.4 |
The 'modsid' file is moved to the ADAPS production system into the
appropriate directory (ADAPSTABLES). The local AVHRR master schedule
is appropriately updated to reflect that the scene was acquired or missed. |
1e |
3.5 |
Verify that the time correction table on the ADAPS production system
has been updated to include the acquired images time correction value
(in the ADAPSTABLES directory). |
1f |
6.1 |
Verify that the appropriate log files have been written to. |

3 |
2.2 |
Ensure that NTP and precision timekeeping is installed and activated
on the acquisition system. |
4 |
5.1 |
Time an acquisition (end time - start time), and divide the number
of bytes acquired during that timeframe to ensure the overall transmission
rate is at least that defined in 5.1. |
5 |
3.2d |
By observation, verify that the time of acquisition and time of display
do not exceed that defined in requirement 3.2d. |
6 |
6.2 |
Reboot the system and verify that the acquisition system has automatically
restarted. |
7 |
3.5 |
Verify the time code correction through comparison to the legacy system and
through viewing the image with linework applied. |
