AOTRANS

Transfer stitched browse image files across the network.

Function:

Transfers all stitched browse images in the INDIR directory across the network to the DAAC system.

Parameters:

INDIR(--)
Input directory. The name of the input directory in which the browse images reside. If defaulted, ADAPSBRW is used.

Description/Algorithm:

AOTRANS searches the INDIR directory for stitched browse images to transfer across the network. All browse images successfully transferred will be noted in AOTRANS;LOG in the ADAPSLOG directory. If an error occurs during a transfer, AOTRANS will retry the transfer two more times. If, after three attempts, errors still occur, the browse image is moved to the ADAPSERR directory and a message will be logged in the AOTRANS;LOG file. AOTRANS may be terminated by executing the ADAPSTOP function.

Nonfatal Error Messages:

    None.

Fatal Error Messages:

  1. [aotrans-fatal] Fatal error encountered

A fatal error was encountered. The error message displayed prior to this one is the specific error that was encountered. Processing terminates.

User Notes:

  1. AOTRANS will transfer only browse images originating from stitched orbits (AO*;BRW). Browse images originating from individually acquired scenes (AH*;BRW, AL*:BRW, etc.) will be ignored by AOTRANS.
